Founded in November 2007, 24days is a social media based Calendar that helps people to share do-it-yourself calendars or calendars created by other participants or sponsors of the site. 24days is owned by Gemilo Ltd. It is a privately-held company headquartered in Tampere, Finland. This start-up company is a social media production and consultancy house developing technologies to help the sharing of user driven content and the use of social media for business. 24days is open for anyone to sign up and then begin to browse and create own calendars or content behind calendar hatches. The concept is based on the old traditions of Advent Calendars.

There is nothing new in making digital online Advent Calendars, but so far other calendars have been more or less ready-made without option to use your own content. What makes 24days different is the opportunity it gives people to personalize and create calendars of one’s own.
